Every space has a story. La Quincaillerie has its own — that of a farm building that almost disappeared and became one of our most requested accommodations.

One building, one story

Before being a cottage, La Quincaillerie was an agricultural storage building. The oak beams that today give the space its charm have spanned several generations. Quand on a décidé de réhabiliter le bâtiment, la question s'est posée : faut-il tout refaire à neuf, ou préserver l'âme du lieu ?

On a choisi la deuxième option — et on ne le regrette pas. The thick walls that keep the place cool in summer, the generous ceiling heights, the exposed beams — that's what makes La Quincaillerie unique.

The renovation project

The renovation took several months. Insulation, plumbing, electricity — everything was redone to standard. But the beams stayed, as did the stone walls. The kitchen was fully equipped with modern fittings, without breaking the visual harmony.

The result: a space that has the comfort of a new apartment and the character of an old barn. A balance hard to find — and rarely seen elsewhere.

Why character lovers adore it

Those who book La Quincaillerie aren't there by default — they chose it for its character. Holiday rental platforms are full of functional, interchangeable spaces. La Quincaillerie is neither.

That's why it's often booked months in advance by those who experienced it once before.
