2. Cancellation
The cancellation policy applies identically to all formulas (rooms, cottages, privatisation).
- Cancellation more than 15 days before arrival: deposit fully refunded
- Cancellation less than 14 days before arrival: full payment retained, unless we manage to re-let the accommodation for the same dates
- Early departure during the stay: no refund, except in cases of force majeure with proper justification
Important: no cancellation insurance is included in our prices. We strongly recommend taking out cancellation insurance with your own provider.
3. Security bond
A security bond is requested on arrival for the following formulas:
| Formula | Amount |
|---|---|
| Cottage (P'tite Maison or Quincaillerie) | €100 |
| Full estate privatisation | €200 |

Privatisation — special options
- Early arrival at 10:00 AM: €120 supplement
- Late departure at 5:00 PM: €120 supplement
5. House rules
- Smoking: strictly prohibited in rooms and indoor common areas. Outdoor designated areas are available.
- Minors: children and teenagers remain under the responsibility of their parents or accompanying adults throughout the stay.
- Noise: out of respect for neighbours and other guests, no noise after 10:00 PM (for "4 grouped rooms" and privatisation formulas, the bar/garage closes at 2:00 AM maximum).
- Amplified music: not authorised for legal reasons (SACEM French royalties). A Bluetooth speaker may be provided free of charge.
6. Pets
Pet policy varies by formula:
| Formula | Policy |
|---|---|
| B&B rooms | Pets not allowed, except small size by exception |
| Cottage (P'tite Maison or Quincaillerie) | Well-behaved dogs accepted on request, all sizes |
| Privatisation | Same as cottage (well-behaved dogs accepted on request) |
No cats are accepted, regardless of formula. Ryette, our dog, doesn't get along with cats. Thank you for your understanding.
7. Insurance
Holiday liability insurance (mandatory)
The renter must be insured for holiday rental. This insurance, generally included in your main home insurance, covers material damage you may cause during your stay. A certificate may be requested on arrival.
Cancellation insurance (recommended)
No cancellation insurance is included in our prices. We strongly recommend taking out one with your own provider, especially for long stays or privatisation.
8. Liability
L'Arbre émaillé declines any responsibility for loss, theft or damage to personal belongings during the stay, in accommodations as well as in common areas, parking and garages.
The renter is required to respect the premises and equipment provided. Any damage observed will be invoiced at replacement cost, deducted from the security bond or invoiced separately if necessary.
9. Disputes
In case of dispute, an amicable solution will systematically be sought first. Failing this, French law applies and French courts have sole jurisdiction.
In accordance with article L.616-1 of the French Consumer Code, the customer has the option to use a free consumer mediator for amicable resolution.
