Nantes is 45 minutes away. It's close — but far enough that everything is different. The air, the silence, the morning light. A weekend at L'Arbre émaillé is the art of going far without really going.
Why go to the countryside rather than a city hotel?
City hotels have their charm. But for a romantic weekend, nothing beats the experience of a country B&B: you're welcomed like friends, breakfast is homemade, and the morning silence is nothing like the bustle of a Nantes street.
La Romantique is our most-requested room for couple's weekends. Private en-suite, 140 cm bed, refined decor — everything is designed so you think of nothing but your stay.
The ideal weekend programme at L'Arbre émaillé
Friday evening: late afternoon arrival, settling into the room, homemade dinner prepared with vegetables from the garden and products from the local market. A bottle of Muscadet, the terrace if the weather allows.
Saturday: breakfast until 10 AM (homemade jams, local bread, coffee how you like it). The day is yours — walk in the Gâvre forest, visit Blain, drive to the coast or laze in the garden. Karine will advise based on your wishes.
Sunday morning: final breakfast, unhurried departure. You'll be in Nantes for lunch.
The little extras that make the difference
What distinguishes a B&B from a hotel is attention to detail. Are you celebrating an anniversary or a special occasion? Tell us when booking — we'll remember.
Breakfast is served at your pace, not at 8 AM sharp. Dinner can be served just for the two of you if you wish. La Balconière offers direct terrace access for those who want their coffee outside as soon as they wake up.
Book your stay at L'Arbre émaillé directly, with no commission. Karine is waiting for you.
